  23. Even that would not need to be the end of Escom.  My take on the whole affair is
  24. that Schmitt realized that the PC boom was a temporary matter, and decided to
  25. fold as soon as it stopped.

  27. So their next move *could* be to close those Escom shops that nobody seems to
  28. like, and turn Escom into a reincarnation of Commodore Germany, which returned
  29. to profitability before CBM went belly-up.  They are already selling hardware
  30. under the Commodore label, and now even with a Commodore CEO.
